tarnished stone in muck
some filthy defiled star
shining weak stale light

barbed spear of coal
piercing thick tar,
rancid memories and
pooling oozes leak

halitosis stained teeth
warped yellow black
consuming fetid fruit
whats sour bites hardest

& reaching up from mud
precious flesh & bone,
three fingers limp & frail
seek light & purity.
